Quilting Projects

8-20-2012  Here is the finished quilt top I started at the April quilt retreat in Dubuque.  The pattern is Hanging Gardens.  It is a jellyroll-friendly pattern.  I used fabric from the Moda line  French General.  Its a year or more old so there is probably a different version of fabric out there now.  Now I have to get backing and quilt it.  I'm not looking forward to that...all that blank space!!  Once again, I ask myself...why?!?  Why did I a make a large (larger than a wall hanging) quilt????  Where am I going to put this?  When will I learn??!?  PS. The 'quilt of the month' is in the same state you see below.  NOTHING HAS CHANGED!!!!   Oy.....

Here's the progress I'm making on the Quilt Show BOM.  It is very challenging! Only 9 more months to go!

I finally hung my cardinal small quilt.  Its not too 'springy' but I looks better than the valentine's heart small quilt!  Guess I'll have to make a spring small quilt...someday.

Started at Sew-In.  Finished during Super Bowl. Made some redesigns.  Added a Susan Cleveland piping with the binding.

This little quilt is a Party with Patrick design for December. Its onlt 12x12. Pretty cute, though. Finished in a day. That's what I love about small projects!!
Here are some Halloween projects I actually got done for Halloween!!  This little quilt was lots of fun and pretty quick.

I finished these guys in Door County this summer.  The witch went to Marcia's school, Capitolview Elementary in Des Moines.  The Pumpkin Face went on my front door!

This cat was from Patrick Lose's Quilting Celebration magazine.  Also finished in Door County.  Its in my entryway.

I didn't make these pumpkins.  I bought them at Hobby Lobby and thought they were awfully sweet, so they are on the back porch.
